BHAKTA 1989 Calvados hails from Pays d'Auge, the most coveted Calvados producing region in Normandy, known for its lush apple orchards, strict production laws, and refined aromatic spirits.

To earn the Pays d'Auge name, a Calvados must:

  • Be made only from apples grown in the Pays d'Auge region
  • Undergo double distillation in a traditional copper Charentais stills (the same used in Cognac)
  • Be aged in French oak casks for a minimum of two years

The result is a spirit that's richer, more structured, and more aromatic than standard Calvados.
