Description

Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 1975, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes
Aspect Deep, reddy amber.
Nose Vanilla sweetness on the nose, almost like a Bourbon. Sharp and bright with great power and mellow oak tannins. Well-balanced and complex. Dried fruits with vanilla and brioche notes. Patisserie with creamy custard and a touch of orange peel. Bread and butter pudding made with panettone.
Palate Delicious in the mouth and perfectly round. Long, mellow finish with creme brulee and old oak notes like a cigar box.

Media Reviews

“In this vintage paradigm, every release is special, limited in quantity — there’s only so much of any given spirit made in any given year.”
“You don’t have to love brandy to love this. . . Terrific sipping and thus an epic preview of things to come from the nascent producer.”
“The World’s Best Bourbon.”
