Description

Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 1965, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes

Aspect Deep golden amber.

Nose Very aromatic nose with notes of great age like cigar box, mellow oak, tobacco, and lots of nuts. A slight beeswax and honey suggesting some sweetness. Wood paneling in a closed room, old pine, candied orange, marzipan, fresh dates, and tobacco.

Palate Bold with very pleasant spices that are very smooth and long-lasting. A sweetness envelops the mouth coupled with mellow tannins and vanilla. Prunes and other dried fruits are present with some orange peel. Bright and charming with a long finish.
