Description

Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 2004, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes

Aspect Golden orange color, which is slightly darker than 2003.

Nose Creamy nose with vanilla notes and fresh oak staves. Clean and fresh with some nutmeg, honey, spice, and some lime zest. Slightly waxy note with a hint of marzipan on the end of the nose and lovely viscosity on the glass.

Palate Big, powerful attack that packs a punch. Clean and straight with a lot of complex flavors of fresh and dried fruits and spices. Cinnamon and nutmeg rub shoulders with boozy raisins in a rich fruit cake. Pear crumbles with vanilla and brown sugar, topped with thick creamy custard. Tannins are present yet very mellow and well-balanced. Long finish packed with dried fruits, some oak, and nutmeg. An armagnac with great aging potential and a pleasure to drink now.

Returns cannot be accepted after delivery, but a refund may be requested before your order leaves the fulfillment facility. If your package arrives damaged, please contact us with photo evidence so we can file a claim on your behalf.
