Description

Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 2001, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes

Aspect Pale orange, golden straw color.

Nose Fresh summer fruits like peaches and white fruit blossom. Light and fresh on the nose with delightful vanilla notes and some caramel. Spicy notes mingle with the floral.

Palate Big and bold with bright spicy notes. Easy drinking despite its high alcohol content. Clean and straight with mellow tannins that are well-rounded and still fresh. Green oak staves and hint of sweetness on the persistent finish.

French painter Balthus, Beatles guitarist George Harrison, NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, and punk rock icon Joey Ramone are laid to rest.
