BHAKTA 2011 Bourbon is a bold 111 proof whiskey aged 12 years and 10 months including a 12-month finish in Château BHAKTA’s finest Armagnac casks. This limited release of just 11 barrels celebrates our legacy of No. 1 awards, including “#1 Spirit, 99 points” and “Best Bourbon.” "That’s you, that’s me, that’s the winner, the champion, the top dog, the number one in us all. BHAKTA has won more No. 1 awards than just about anyone over the past few years, most especially No. 1 Spirit in the World." Deep golden-orange in hue, this bourbon offers aromas of vanilla fudge, caramel, and smoky oak, leading to a palate of dark brown sugar, burnt caramel, and a hint of lemon zest on the finish. Celebrating Number One

The journey began in Tennessee, where this exceptional bourbon was distilled and first filled in September 2011...

After more than a decade of careful aging, it was handpicked and acquired by Raj in 2022. The barrels were then transported to our headquarters in Vermont, where they were placed back into wood for further refinement.

In January 2024, the decision was made to begin the finishing process. For 12 months, this bourbon matured in 11 of our revered Armagnac casks from the 1970s and 1980s, imparting deep complexity and character. Finally, in January 2025, the bourbon was emptied from the casks and prepared for bottling—ready to be enjoyed at the peak of its perfection.
