Bhakta means "devotee." And while Mary Teresa Bhakta, Raj's mother, was a Bhakta by marriage and not by birth, she was a devotee just the same. She was devoted to her family, ensuring her children were well provided for. She was devoted to her faith, leaning on it in both times of need and times of health.
