Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 1994, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes

Aspect Deep, rich orange.

Nose Subtle bouquet needs some aeration. When it opens up, the nose is lively and powerful with some mentholated notes followed by aromas of varnish and waxed wooden floors.

Palate Tongue-tingling spice with nutmeg and pepper. Very full and bold in the mouth with juicy notes of apples and macerated raisins/sultanas. Feisty, yet well-integrated tannins. Complex aromas that are big and bold. Overriding peppery note on the very long, persistent finish that explodes on the palate and gives way to a hint of dryness.
