Description

Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 1992, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes
Aspect Deep amber orange.
Nose wonderful enticing walnut nose with sweetness, and other nuts like hazelnut and chestnut. Warming, with creamy notes of rice pudding sprinkled with nutmeg, and then a floral note sidles in to add more complexity. Discreet and delicate notes of violet are there to be discovered. An underlying brown sugar note and pecan pie seduce.
Palate First, a sweet and silky sensation that is subtle and inviting. Beautifully balanced, the spices arrive gradually and without fanfare. They creep in gently, making this a truly lovely tasting experience. Soft nutmeg and vanilla with very mellow oak that effortlessly coats the mouth. Nutty notes persist with buttery pastry, a touch of ginger, and old leather. A long, soft, and complex finish.

Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton is nominated as the Democratic candidate for president.

Media Reviews

“In this vintage paradigm, every release is special, limited in quantity — there’s only so much of any given spirit made in any given year.”
“You don’t have to love brandy to love this. . . Terrific sipping and thus an epic preview of things to come from the nascent producer.”
“The World’s Best Bourbon.”
