Description

Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 1989, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes

Aspect pale golden orange.

Nose Fresh, spicy and youthful with notes of old libraries, old books, polished wooden floors. Fresh citrus and exotic fruit notes coupled with those of prune and caramel. Slight hint of wax.

Palate Spicy explosion of aromas in the mouth that are fresh and lively. Zesty citrus notes remain with pepper and old oak. Tannins are soft, giving a slightly dry note. Nice oiliness and weight with complex aromas of dried fruit and oak, with touches of vanilla and resinous notes. Long, full finish with spice and nutty sensation.
