Description

Every BHAKTA bottle carries a year, not an age statement. This one was distilled from a single harvest in 1980, laid down in oak, and left to the slow work of Gascon cellars until it was ready, years later, to be bottled exactly as it came out of the cask.

Tasting Notes
Aspect Dark, orange brown.
Nose Spiced preserved clementines, vanilla, oak, mulled wine, cloves, nutmeg, old leather wallets, and fresh and dried fruit.
Palate Full and powerful in the mouth with creamy richness. Spicy and ample with lovely oiliness that coats the tongue. Dried fruits and bitter dark chocolate. Long-lasting finish with dried fruits and dry sensation.

Media Reviews

“In this vintage paradigm, every release is special, limited in quantity — there’s only so much of any given spirit made in any given year.”
“You don’t have to love brandy to love this. . . Terrific sipping and thus an epic preview of things to come from the nascent producer.”
“The World’s Best Bourbon.”
